ICB was a finalist for the CCNZ National Construction awards in 2017 and won the Connexis Training and Development Award in the $10 to $25M category.

ICB won this award because of:

  1. Competency Assessments: All ICB excavator operators have been assessed for competency internally by our own in house assessor, Andre De Wit.

  2. Apprenticeships: ICB offers a NZ Certificate in Civil Works with a Strand in Earthworks and Concrete apprenticeship to all staff.  Completion of this apprenticeship combined with 4 years’ experience enables staff to be eligible for Civil Trade Certification.

  3. Wheels, Tracks and Rollers Endorsement training: ICB is registered with Connexis as WTR trainers and run courses twice a year to ensure that all staff are compliant with current legislation.

  4. Civil Career Pathway: All staff have a clear career pathway to work towards and are encouraged to better themselves, including providing a second chance for school leavers who have left school without NCEA Levels 1, 2 or 3.
